Organizations
We at Golden Harvest are praying for your recovery from the disaster caused by Hurricane Helene. Because so many communities have been hit so hard, we are changing the way we do Spooky this year.
The best way to support our hurricane relief efforts is to host a Virtual Food Drive and use your online fundraising page to invite those in your network to donate. Every $2 your neighborhood raises will help distribute 5 meals to families struggling to recover in the wake of the storm. The need is greater now than ever. We need your support now more than ever. But together, we will rebuild our community!
If your organization is open and willing to host a food and funds drive, please contact Ariel Leone at aleone@goldenharvest.org.
Host a Virtual Food Drive
Your organization can participate in the It’s Spooky to Be Hungry® Virtual Drive — our online fundraising campaign. After you create your team and fundraising page, you can invite friends, colleagues and family to donate by sending them a custom hyperlink.
- Click here and click the “Create or Join A Team” button to create your own virtual food drive. Follow the prompts to create an account and then a team page. Here are step-by-step instructions: How to Create or Join a Team. Once you’ve created your Team Page, here is a resource that helps you learn how to manage it: How to Manage Your Team as a Team Captain.
- Join your own Team and invite your colleagues to do the same.
- Share your link on social media, email, or text to receive donations from coworkers, family, and friends
Please reach out with questions or needs to Ariel Leone at aleone@goldenharvest.org.
Host a Traditional Food Drive
If you’d like to host a traditional food drive, we happily accept non-perishable food donations. See a list of most wanted food items here.
- You may use your own food collection containers. Sturdy, plastic bins work well for this. See example here.
- Please drop off any food donations before Thursday, November 7th at our Augusta warehouse. Our Aiken Warehouse is currently without power- we will update once that location is open for drop offs.
- Please note: Due to increased needs and the Food Bank’s limited trucking resources during this time of crisis, all current operations regarding barrel deliveries and pick-ups by Golden Harvest have been disbanded.
Augusta Warehouse: 3310 Commerce Drive Augusta, GA 30909
